Anaemia of haemolytic type and polyarthritis caused by salmonella infection

Summary

A case of anaemia of a haemolytic type with polyarthritis is described which followed a mild intestinal infection withSalmonella enteritidis. The course of the illness suggests that neither the anaemia nor the polyarthritis responded to high dosage of adrenal corticoids, though the patient slowly recovered after an illness lasting over three months.
