Summary

A case of cardiac rupture including morbid anatomy and histology has been described, due to thrombosis of the anterior descending branch of the left coronary artery.

The pathology of ruptured heart has been discussed, including the commoner diseases of the coronary arteries.

A possible mechanism of the rupture is suggested.
