Summary
-
1.
A method of suture of nerves of small diameter using a plasma clot is described.
-
2.
The effect of cortisone and hydrocortisone on the regeneration process of sectioned nerves in rabbits after repair by the above method is described. Fibrous tissue reaction is reduced without interfering with regeneration.
-
3.
The results of repair using grafts with the above technique are described.
-
4.
The possible clinical applications are discussed.
