A case of poisoning by solanum nigrum

Abstract

Poisoning due to eating berries of plants of the Solanaceae order has seldom been reported in Ireland. This case is recorded because it is unusual as the man concerned is an adult countryman, and not, as so often happens, a city child out for a day in the country.
