Summary
A 61-year old man presented with melaena caused by a gastric volvulus. Plain chest radiograph and barium studies of the small bowel proved to be very useful in demonstrating the lesion. The gastric volvulus was reduced at laparotomy and the patient has remained well over a follow-up period of one year.
