Can a computer diagnosis of “Normal ECG” be trusted?

Summary

A computerised system which can reliably identify normal tracings would substantially improve the ease and efficiency of electrocardiographic reporting. Normal tracings with a report can be given directly to the patient without the delay of reporting and the expense of postage and delivery.
