Co-Trimoxazole induced diuresis

Summary

Sulphonamide antibiotics were once used in the 1940’s for their diuretic effects in heart failure. This property, long since forgotten, was responsible for a marked diuresis in a patient treated with co-trimoxazole, herein reported.
