On March 1, 1970, iceland became member number eight of EFTA.
1969 was the first complete year without customs in the Community.
Without the Eastern bloc.
Using the revised system of SITC (Standard International Trade Classification), and for the EEC the more extensive classification system of CST (Classification Statistique et Tarifaire/Classification for Statistics and Tariffs).
