Abstract
The technique of renal arterial embolization in 150 patients with renal carcinoma using Gelfoam, Ivalon particles, and coils is described. The complications of the procedure and the morbidity and mortality following embolization are presented. The details of the postinfarction syndrome in the first 100 patients are analyzed. The prevention of these complications is discussed.
