Summary
In this article, for the first time, it is reported about an econometric model of the Federal Republic of Germany which has been developed in Heidelberg. As prototype served van der Werf’s model. The Heidelberg model differs from van der Werf’s model and other German models as well by the stronger orientation along economic-statistical facts existing. The model contains 21 endogenous variables, 14 of them in structural equations, and 7 in definitions, as well as 11 exogenous variables and 2 lagged endogenous variables. The OLS estimates regard annual figures from 1951 up to 1973. The estimated structure of the model will be reported in the next issue.
