Abstract
The semi-desert zone of the northern Precaspian Lowland is distinguished by the occurrence of closed-drainage depressions (limans) which are filled with melted snow in spring and usually dry out in summer. The plant communities of the above limans are discussed in this paper, along with descriptions of syntaxa belonging to the following classes:Phragmitetea R.Tx. etPrsg. 1942,Bolboschoenetea maritimi Vicherek etR.
