Weak radiative decay of hyperons

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

We study here weak radiative decay for spin-(1/2)+ baryons in the ground state of the octet by pole approximation method. Parity-conserving (p.c.) and parity-violating (p.v.) amplitudes are contributed by two different resonance states at the pole for one decay process. In this way parity-violating (p.v.) and parity-conserving (p.c.) coupling constants are calculated and the resulting decay widths are shown to be consistent with experiments.
