Summary

On the basis of the theory of Bleaney, Bowers and Pryce, calculations have been carried out on the ground-state wave functions of the Cu2+ ion doped in different single crystals with the help of available ESR data. Apart from the ground-state wave function, some other ESR parameters like the Fermi contact term K and the hyperfine-interaction parameterP have also been estimated. Further, with the help of the present method correct signs and directions have been assigned to the spin Hamiltonian constantsg i andA i.
