Abstract
The synthesis is described of an immunoadsorbent, Sepharose-glycyl-tyrosine-azo-phenyl-N-acetyl-glucosaminide, which specifically absorbs N-acetyl-glucosamine binding proteins. Anti Streptococcus group A antibody populations exhibiting restricted heterogeneity were obtained by affinity gradient elution of the antibodies from this immunoadsorbent. Isoelectric focusing experiments with purified and tibody fractions suggested that antibody structures were affected by the experimental conditions used for the preparative isoelectric focusing.
