Summary
Inspired by bag model calculations, we study the adiabatic approximation in a simple nonrelativistic model. The model consists of a particle of massm moving inside two walls of massM. These walls are confined in space by a linear potential. The Schrödinger equation for the coupled system is solved. We find that the adiabatic approximation describes the dynamics of the system quite well even if the masses of the walls and of the internal particle are equal.

Ispirandosi ai calcoli del modello a sella si studia l’approssimazione adiabatica in un modello semplice non relativistico. II modello consiste in una particella con massam che si muove entro due punti di massaM. Queste pareti sono confinate spazialmente da un Potenziale lineare. Si risolve l’equazione di Sehrödinger per il sistema accoppiato. Si trova che l’approssimazione adiabatica descrive la dinamica del sistema abbastanza bene anche se le masse delle pareti e della particella interna sono uguali.
