Higher-order modes in phase reflection gratings

Summary

A new coupled-four-wave analysis of lossless unslanted phase reflection gratings is presented. It is shown that under well-defined conditions the modes −1 and +2 are equally efficient and this efficiency is determined only with one parameter.
