Entropy and compressibility of the elements in the solid phase

Summary

A correlation procedure is proposed which allows us to evaluate the entropy of the elements in the solid phase by the knowledge of their compressibility andvice versa. The basic assumptions of the correlation are explicitly described. Calculated values are compared with experimental data mainly available atT=298 K. The agreement is within the mean accuracy of measurements.

Si propone un metodo che permette di calcolare l’entropia degli elementi nella fase solida dalla conoscenza della loro compressibilità e viceversa. Si descrivono esplicitamente le ipotesi fondamentali che permettono di correlare queste due grandezze. I valori calcolati sono confrontati con i dati sperimentali, noti essenzialmente alla temperatura di 298 K. Le deviazioni relative tra i valori calcolati e i dati noti non superano l’errore relativo con cui sono generalmente definite le misure sperimentali.

Предлагается корреляционная процедура, которая позволяет оценить энтропию элементов в твердой фазе, исходя из знания сжимаемости этих элементов и наоборот. Описываются основные предположения корреляции. Вычисленные значения сравниваются с имеющимися экспериментальными данными приT=298 K. Получается удовлетворительное согласие в пределах средней точности экспериментов.
