Summary
We calculate the colour singlet contribution to D0 and F+ nonleptonic decays via two-gluon radiation, as an estimate of the importance of second-order effects compared to first-order ones. For D0 the annihilation rate gets dominant contributions from first order, whereas for F+ we find also the second order to be important. The basic semileptonic annihilation rate\(\Gamma (F^ + \to \ell ^ + v_\ell gg)\) is at least a factor 5 less than the corresponding c-decay rate\(\Gamma (F^ + \to \ell ^ + v_\ell s\bar s)\), but it may get an important final-state enhancement if the gluons can couple to glueball states.
