Global and local properties of interacting bosons

Summary

Global and local properties of interacting bosons are discussed and compared with the corresponding properties of fermions. Regarding the global properties, the main conclusion of this paper is that the shape of the level density is dominated by the number of single-boson levels, while the number of bosons plays a minor role. As to the local properties, the fluctuations of a two-body random boson ensemble, even in the dense limit, are consistent with the GOE predictions.

Scopo di questo lavoro è lo studio delle proprietà globali e locali di un sistema di bosoni in interazione. Circa le proprietà globali, la conclusione di questo lavoro è che la forma della densità dei livelli sia dominata dal numero di livelli di bosone singolo, mentre il numero di bosoni gioca un ruolo di minore importanza. Circa le proprietà locali, non sono state evidenziate, con le statistiche usate, anche nel limite denso, differenze significative tra le fluttuazioni di un sistema di bosoni e quelle di un sistema di fermioni.
