Summary
Mass spectra of composite fermions are studied in a preon model with approximate chiralSU 3,C×U 1,B-L×SU 2,f symmetry. Composite leptons and quarks will acquire masses, respectively, given bym 0 M f/ΛH andm C M f/ΛH, wherem 0,m c andM f are the mass scales for the chiralU 1,B-L,SU 3,C andSU 2,f symmetry breakings, respectively, and where ΛH is about the inverse sizes of leptons and quarks. The universal ratiom C/m 0∼O(10) could indicatem u/m e(≃5/0.5)∼m e/m μ (≃1200/105)∼m t/m τ (≃?/1800)∼O(10). An explicit exampl is given by the three-fermionic preon model of the Pati-Salam-Strathdee and Terazawa-Chikashige-Akama type. ChiralSU 2,f symmetry is dynamically broken at Λf by sextet «quarks» due to QCD andM f turns out to be of order of Λ 2f /ΛH, where Λf is (1/2÷1) TeV. This model predicts light exotic fermions with masses of the order of 100 GeV.

Si studiano gli spettri di massa di fermioni composti in un modello preonico con approssimata simmetria chiraleSU 3,C×U 1,B-L×SU 2,f. I leptoni composti e i quark assumono masse date rispettivamente dam 0 M f/ΛH em C M f/ΛH, dovem 0,m C eM f sono le scale di massa per le rotture di simmetria chiraleU 1,B-L,SU 3,C eSU 2,f, rispettivamente, e dove ΛH ha dimensione inversa rispetto a leptoni e quark. Il rapporto universalem C/m 0∼O(10) starebbe ad indicarem u/m e (≃5/0.5)∼m c/m μ (≃1200/105)∼m t/m τ (≃?/1800)∼O(10). Un esempio esplicito è dato dal modello preonico a tre fermioni del tipo di Pati-Salam-Strathdee e Terazawa-Chikashige-Akama.
