Contributions to positronium hyperfine splitting from second-order perturbation theory

Summary

We investigate a perturbation theory for positronium energy levels, based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation. An analytic expression for the sum over intermediate states is obtained. Its application is illustrated by computing a second-order contribution to positronium hyperfine splitting.
