Summary

We evaluate a lower bound for the strange-quark mass which, we believe, is the smallest one that can be obtained without drastically mistrusting the whole philosophy of the Shifman, Vainshtein and Zakharov approach to the vacuum-polarization-like function operator expansion and the available electron-positron data. The obtained value ism s(−1(GeV)2)≥200 MeV.

Si valuta un limite inferiore per la massa del quark strano che riteniamo sia il minimo che si possa ottenere senza violare drasticamente lo spirito generale dell'approccio di Shifman, Vainshtein e Zakharov allo sviluppo operatoriale di funzioni tipo polarizzazione del vuoto e le risultanze sperimentali di annichilazione elettrone-positrone. Il valore ottenuto èm s(−1(GeV)2)≥200 MeV.

Мы оцениваем нижнюю границу для массы странного кварка, которая яваляется наименьшей границей, которая может быть получена в рамках подхода Шифмана, Вайнштейна и Захарова к операторному разложению функций типа поляризации вакуума и с помощью имеющихся экспериментальных данных по аннигиляции электронов и позитронов. Полученная величина составляетm s—(1(ГэВ)2)≥≥200 МэВ.
