The orthogonality condition model applied to (α, α) scattering on12C and16O

Summary

Recent calculations indicate that the many-channel version of the orthogonality condition model (OCM) may successfully be used to describe systems like α+12C,16O. In this study the alternative—i.e. the onechannel OCM with state-dependent direct potentials—is shown to provide at least forE α≤7.5 MeV results which agree nicely with experiment.
