Quark line rule and its violations in production processes

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

Violations of the quark line (IOZ) rule in production quasi—two-body reactions are reviewed. It is argued that there is an experimental support for a systematic excess of IOZ rule violations in production reactions as compared with decay processes. The significance of this result is discussed within the domains of the dual unitarization model and a detailed numerical study of πp → ϕn is presented.
