The smallness of the cosmological constant and the principle of naturalness

Summary

Within the framework of inflationary cosmology, we give temperature-dependent values of the cosmological constant Λ, the value Λ(2.7 K) of which is compatible with the present observational upper limit. We find that the smallness of Λ is theoretically as well as phenomenologically natural.
