Summary
Vitamin A in the colostrum and blood of a series of apparently healthy, poor class underfed mothers in Pondicherry was estimated and very low mean values of 85.65 I.U. and 21.88 I.U. per 100 ml. respectively were obtained, indicating the reflection of inadequate dietaries on the poor vitamin A nutritional status of these women.
