Summary

A precise evaluation of the doubly radiative np capture cross-section in theM1-M1 mode is presented. This evaluation also includes meson exchange contributions together with the extended form of the contact term giving a gauge-invariant transition amplitude in the one-pion exchange approximation. In agreement with previous calculations, theM1-M1 total cross-section σ(M1-M1) is three orders of magnitude smaller than the dominantE1-E1 one. The exchange contribution to σ(M1-M1) is nearly 1%.
