Summary
The screening correction to the total cross-section for coherent electron pair production by photons is evaluated for intermediate and high energies, by employing the Born-approximation recoil momentum distribution and accurate relativistic form factors. Results are given for all 3≤Z≤92. For each element the results are presented in terms of a seven-parameter formula which is based on a high-energy expansion of the screened cross-section.

La correzione di schermatura alla sezione d'urto totale per la produzione coerente di coppie di elettroni da parte di fotoni è calcolata ad energie intermedie ed alte, impiegando la distribuzione degli impulsi di rinculo dell'approssimazione di Born e fattori di forma relativistici accurati. Sono dati risultati per tutti i valori diZ compresi tra 3 e 92. Per ciascun elemento si presentano i risultati in termini di una formula a sette parametri che è basata su uno sviluppo ad alta energia della sezione d'urto schermata.

Вычисляются поправки, связанные с экранированием, к полному поперечному сечению для когерентного образования пар электронов фотонами при средних и высоких энергиях. В работе используется распределение импульсов отдачи в борновском приближении и точные релятивистские форм-факторы. Приводятся результаты для всех 3≤Z≤92. Для каждого элемента результаты представлены в виде формулы, зависящей от семи параметров.
