Classical and quantum field theories overS 3×S 1

Summary

Conformal invariant field theories are studied using a different approach to the conventional one. The difference lies in the fact that we consider a new time related to the conformal invariance properties of the theory. We study the Green’s functions for different scalar theories and finally we give Feynman’s rules on a compact manifold, conformally flat to Minkowski space: the so-calledS 3×S 1 hypertorus.

Si studiano le teorie di campo invarianti conformi usando un approccio diverso da quello convenzionale. La differenza sta nel fatto che si considera un nuovo tempo connesso con le proprietà di invarianza conforme della teoria. Si studiano le funzioni di Green per diverse teorie scalari e infine si danno le regole di Feynman su una varietà compatta, confor memente piatta rispetto allo spazio di Minkowski: il cosiddetto ipertoroS 3×S 1.
