Recent bounds on a hypothetical fundamental length disprove a recent classical model of unified electroweak forces

Summary

The recent boundl 0≤3.10−18 cm on a hypothetical fundamental lengthl 0 imposes this limit to the characteristic length of the classical model of the vacuum as consisting of bundles of ideal flexible strings developed by Ribarič and Šušteršič. By this bound the above theory no longer predicts the correct order of magnitude for the masses of the intermediate vector bosons.

Il recente valor massimol 0≤3·10−18cm di un’ipotetica lunghezza fondamentalel 0 impone questo limite alla lunghezza caratteristica del modello classico del vuoto consistente in fasci di stringhe ideali flessibili proposte da Ribarič e Šušteršič. Con questo vincolo la teoria di cui sopra non predice il corretto ordine di grandezza per la massa dei bosoni vettoriali intermedi.
