Congenital eventration of the diaphragm

Summary

Two cases of eventration of the diaphragm are described. One case presented during infancy while the other presented at the age of 10 years. Both had respiratory difficulty and involvement of the left diaphragm. As the history and examination did not suggest it to be of an acquired type, we feel the lesion was of congenital origin.
