Conclusions

    Aureomycin administered orally is effective in chronic ulcerative colitis.

  2. 2.

    The bacterial response to aureomycin is favorable but its limitations are not completely established.

  3. 3.

    Aureomycin may be used in ulcerative colitis to advantage.
