Summary
Two children with acquired subacute subglottic narrowing are reported. They presented with persistent and slowly progressive laryngeal stridor and inspiratory distress of over ten weeks' duration and demonstrated a dramatic response to steroids. The aetiopathogenesis of this rare type of subglottic narrowing has been discussed.
