O-Microtubules within sites of focal cytoplasmic degradation of liver cells; their relation to microbodies

  • Published:
Virchows Archiv B Cell Pathology Zell-pathologie

Summary

Osmium resistant microtubules of approximately 280 Å in outer and 150 Å in inner diameter are found within sites of focal cytoplasmic degradation of rat liver parenchymal cells. These microtubules are often closely associated with a nucleoid of a microbody and therefore are thought to be derived from the matrix of segregated microbodies.
