Wave interaction in radiative gas dynamics

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

In this paper we study the interaction of weakly nonlinear waves in radiative gas dynamics. It is shown that three modes exist, and the propagation is ruled by the Burgers 〈 or heat conduct 〉 equation. The interaction affects the phase velocities only, and explicit expressions are given.
