Summary
The ionizatiou produced by relativistic electrons with energies between 150 MeV and 550 MeV has been measured in hydrogen, helium, xenon, and xenon-helium mixtures, using an ionization chamber in the beam of the Stanford linear electron accelerator. The experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical predictions.

Per mezzo di una camera a ionizzazione posta nel fascio dell’acceleratore lineare di eiettroni di Stanford, si è misurata la ionizzazione prodotta nell’idrogeno, nell’elio, nello xenon e nelle miscele xenon-elio da eiettroni relativistici aventi energie comprese fra 150 e 550 MeV. I risultati sperimentali sono in buon accordo con le predizioni teoriche.
