Electric field effect on properties of PT/epoxy nanocomposites

Abstract

The structure and optic properties of PbTiO3 nanocrystalline powder/epoxy composites are studied under different electric fields during solidification. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scattered light, ultraviolet optic absorption and second harmonic generation (SHG) of the composites are measured. Results show that the electric field has a great effect on the properties of nanocomposites. The mechanism of electric field production is discussed.
