1)
In very rare cases of multiple intestinal diverticulosis, pernicious anaemia with intact HC1 secretion into the stomach may he found.

A case is described in whom full correction of the hemoglobin deficit was obtained by iron treatment notwithstanding a blood picture typical of pernicious anaemia. A relapse 1 year later did not respond to iron treatment, whereas treatment by folic acid was successful.

3)
In non coincidental multiple intestinal diverticulosis and pernicious anaemia, either a defective elimination of antipernicious substance or more probably a defective absorption of this substance may be pathogenetically important.
