Abstract
Plant extracts obtained fromFeronia limonia (leaves)Xanthium trumarum (flowering twigs) andGlossocardia bosvellia (leaves) were tested for their antimicrobial properties against certain bacterial species Feronia leaf extract was ineffective onBacillus pumilus andX. campestris, Vibrio cholerae was found quite sensitive to this extract The extract ofX strumarium showed an abnormality withV cholerae, where the inhibition exceeded the control with established antibiotics Similarly,G bosvellia caused maximum inhibition inBacillus mycoides
