Summary
Solanum polyadenium was found to be highly resistant, if not immune, to attack by the potato leafhopper. Three closely related species,S. chacoense, S. commersonii, andS.caldasii also were highly resistant to the leafhopper.
S. bulbocastanum showed fair resistance to flea beetle attack.S. polyadenium was highly immune to attack. Only slight feeding by the adult flea beetles occurred on this species
