Abstract
The dependence of nitrification on time may be expressed as ΣN=C/(m+1) ·t m+1 since its logarithmic form log ΣN=K logt+q suggests the possibility of a linear relationship between log ΣN and logt such as was found in more than 50 cases of nitrification in different soils. It was further shown that the equations for the integration curve and for the rate curve are of the same form, differing only in the constants.
