Abstract

A technique of preparation of ultrathin sections of liver tissue infected with mycobacteria, concretely of Kupffer cells containingMycobacterium avium, was described. Satisfactory preservation of the ultrastructure of both liver and mycobacteria was achieved by a modification of sampling, dehydration and Vestopal-embedding procedures.
