Abstract

In this paper we use the method of Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) to analyze an actual example, square stool manufacture line in Harbin Longjiang Wood Products Factory, treated it by computer, and come to the conclusion as follows: 1. PERT can help us to see the full activity in all process clearly which is not easy to see clearly at the noisy and complex manufacture line. 2. It shows the critical production path. According to this path, the manager can arrange the manufacture rationally and speed up the production efficiently. 3. It can help us to choose the best one from many wood product models.PERT would be helping us to establish a rational and complete wood products manufacture management system.
