Abstract

The successive qualitative microbial changes during the decomposition of bajra stalk in a sandy sierozem soil were studied.Alternaria spp.,Aspergillus spp.,Cladosporium spp.,Fusarium spp.Gliocladium spp.,Mucor spp. andRhizopus spp. were most common fungi. The bacteria observed wereAchromobacter, Arthrobacter, Bacillus, Micrococcus, Pseudomonas andXanthomonas. Cellvibrio andCellulomonas were also observed.
