Abstract

York is an early maturing, white skinned potato variety with high total solids. It has been found to be best adapted to organic soils where the yield is comparable to presently-grown varieties—Ontario, Norland and Cherokee, and is rated better than any of these in cooking quality. York is top necrotic to virus x and resistant to the common races of late blight.
