Quantitative measurement of discoloration pigment in injured potato tissue by densitometry

Summary

A method for objective evaluation of internal discoloration in bruised potato tissue using a recording densitometer and thin tissue slices was developed. The test takes 3 to 5 minutes per sample and measures quantitatively the pigment present in the discolored tissue.

Un método para evaluar el descoloramiento interno en tejidos de papas dañadas ha sido desarrollado usando un densitómetro grabador y secciones delgadas de tejidos. El ensayo consume de 3 a 5 minutos y mide cuantitativamente el pigmento presente en el tejido descolorado.
