Interaction of light and gibberellin on potato seed germination

Summary

The percentage of germination in recently harvested potato seed was greater in darkness or short photoperiods and at low light intensities. A combination of gibberellic acid and reduced amounts of light gave nearly complete germination in ten days.

El porcentaje de germinacion en semillas de patatas recientamente cosechado fue mas grande en oscuridad o en fotoperiodos cortos y en luz de baja intensidad. La combinacion del acido giberelico y luz en cantidades reducidas cedio germinacion casi completo en diez dias.
