Treatment of hand-foot itch in old people with acupuncture

Abstract

Old patients with hand-foot itch were treated by acupuncture combined with the irradiation of TDP. For hand itch, selected acupoints Jianyu (LI 15), Quchi (LI 11), Shousanli (LI 10), Hegu (LI 4), and Zhongzhu (TE 3); for foot itch, selected acupoints Zusanli (ST 36), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Jiexi (ST 41), Rangu (KI 2), Taichong (LR 3) and Zulinqi (GB 4). OF 33 patients, the symptom were cured in 26 cases and improved in 7 cases after 2-course’s treatment.
