Abstract

Helictotrichon desertorum (Less.) Nevskij is divided into four subspecies, based on the characters of the ligule and indumentum of the sheaths of cauline leaves. A new subspecies—subsp.centroasiaticum Holub—is proposed to cover the Central Asiatic segment of the species.
