Fell-field and heath communities of Reykjanes Peninsula, SW. Iceland (plant communities of Reykjanes Peninsula, Part 5)

Abstract

The author gives a survey of fell-field, dwarf shrub-and grass heath-communities of Reykjanes Peninsula. Eight associations were found to belong to this complex; they belong to the alliancesJuncion trifidi Krajina,Loiseleurio-Arctostaphylion Kalliola andNardo-Caricion Bigelowii Nordh. respectively. Their syntaxonomy and ecology are discussed.
